Watercolor, glitter, White-Out, Glossy Accents and sadness.
Approx. 8.5" x 11"
Scan doesn't do it justice. Ethereal and 3D in person. Will appear in an art journal flip-through video soonish, though, which will hopefully rectify that.
I made this as a Solstice present for my girlfriend. The main picture was painted with gouache (with glitter accents that don't show up in the photo), while the frame is patterned paper overlaid with shimmer-watercolor and a snowy-chunk nail polish. The shaker fill is iridescent confetti, silver sequins, silver snowflakes, glitter, and tiny faux pearls. Then the outside is, of course, ALL THE THINGS. (And yes, she loved it. Hurray!)
We're slowly painting our house, and I went ahead and did an Alisa Burke-inspired doodle on the mailbox. The original brass color can be seen when the lid is up; I may end up painting the inside a nice green to match the green glass in the front door that's next to it.
